Whitney Houston wardrobe malfunction on X Factor

Superstar singer Whitney Houston had a wardrobe malfunction while performing on The X Factor Finals in Wembley over the weekend.  The singer’s dress strap popped off in the middle of her performance.

As far as the actual performance, it was sub-par.  I still love the diva, but her hardcore drug-using years have definitely taken a toll on her singing pipes, even if this was her first time performing live in the UK in 12 years.

Make your own judgment; watch the video here.

Whitney Houston’s daughter asks her to divorce dad Bobby Brown

Award-winning singer Whitney Houston‘s daughter Bobbi Kristina asked her mom to divorce father Bobby Brown after learning about Bobby’s actions and dating other women after her parents separated in 2006.

Regarding her relationship details with Bobby, Whitney said:

“She was just a kid – 13, learning to be a young woman – and I’d give her bits and pieces, but that Internet and that computer, man… She was like, ‘Mum, did you see dad?’ And she saw him with (other women), just crazy things, and she said, ‘Oh no, no, divorce him, just let him go.’ She said, ‘You stay here with me, you love me, you take me to school, you do things with me; you don’t just play me, you don’t lie to me, you’re there for me. When he comes and tells me he’s coming, he never comes.’ She was far more intelligent that I had ever imagined.”

Wow…Bobby Brown gets the d-bag father of the year award from us!!  It’s so sad that his daughter learned of his inappropriate behavior from the internet and had to experience his lies first hand.

Whitney said that Bobbi Kristina’s encouragement and support gave her the strength to end the marriage with Bobby…and good thing!!

Whitney is back on her feet, just released her seventh album ‘I Look To You,’ and is singing with her daughter.

Life is on the up-and-up…so let’s keep it that way, Whit!  We will always support you!

Whitney Houston talks about abuse from Bobby Brown

Singer Whitney Houston sat down with Oprah today and talked about the emotional abuse she received from ex-husband Bobby Brown.  She says her “crazy love” for BB forced her to “fight hard and love hard” to be a perfect wife, but ultimately left her beaten down and abusing drugs.

Whitney also said Bobby became “mean” when he drank.  Although she says he never physically abused her, “He had such hate in his eyes for me, because I loved him so much.”  He would even cut her head off family pictures and draw “evil eyes” on the walls in their home with spray paint.

We are so glad that mama Houston (Cissy) intervened to help Whitney realize her independent strength and that she could overcome the drug-addicted life she was living.

More to come tomorrow from Whitney Houston and Oprah on Tuesday!

Whitney Houston reveals intervention with Bobby on Oprah

Award-winning singer Whitney Houston appeared on Oprah’s season premiere to promote her album ‘I Look to You’ and revealed the intervention between herself, ex-husband Bobby Brown, and her mom.

The Grammy winner says,

“One day my mother [Cissy] came to my house … with these sheriffs,” Houston, 46, tells Winfrey, 55, during the conversation. “She said, ‘If you move, Bobby, they’re going to take you down.’ And he stood there, like he was scared. She said, ‘Let’s go, I’m not losing you to Satan. I’m not doing this. I want my daughter. I want to see that glow in your eyes – that light in your eyes.’ “

Wow…now that is a mother’s love.  This is just part one of Whitney Houston’s interview with Lady O…the second part will air on Tuesday.

Whitney Houston’s seventh album, I Look To You

Six-time Grammy Award-winning singer Whitney Houston is ready to release her seventh album, I Look To You, hitting stores on August 31, 2009.  This album should be a major comeback for Whitney.  It’s been six years since her last recording, seven years since the “crack is wack” comment during an interview with Diane Sawyer, and ten years since her last Grammy Award.

There hasn’t been much publicity for the I Look To You album.  Whitney will perform in Central Park on Tuesday, September 1, 2009 for Good Morning America and will interview on Oprah’s season premiere September 14, 2009…so far, that’s it.

Executive producer Clive Davis assembled a mixed cast of performers to aide Whitney Houstons’ comeback cd. Artists such as Akon, Alicia Keys, Swiss Beatz, Diane Warren, and David Foster can be recognized, while the final song, “Salute” produced by R. Kelly, shows a lyrical Whitney affirming her place in the music industry with, “don’t call it a comeback, no, I been here for years.”

We’d like to call it a comeback!  Whitney deserves to resurface as the triumphant performer she always has been!
