Miley Cyrus voted worst celebrity influence of 2009

Popstar Miley Cyrus has been voted the worst celebrity influence of 2009, even beating out Kanye West!!  With a vote on JSYK.com, 42 percent of the tween voters chose the Disney star as the worst influence, Britney Spears in second and Kanye West in third place.

Between dating a 20-year-old model, pole dancing, slutty performance outfits, and making “slant eyes” in a  snapshot that mocks Asians, the 16-year-old actress has racked up the points!!

But on the other hand, after 50,000 votes Miley was voted number four as favorite female artist, in line behind Taylor Swift, Katy Perry, and Beyonce.

“I think Miley is in an interesting space where she is trying to graduate from being ‘Hannah Montana’ and a Disney channel celebrity and coming into her own and having a career beyond Disney. I think her fans still want her to be the sweet Hannah Montana and she is trying to age up…Parents are definitely resisting it,” says editor of JSYK.com, Stephanie Cohen.

Lady Gaga talks about canceled Kanye West tour ‘Fame Kills’

Pop star Lady Gaga finally talks about the canceled ‘Fame Kills’ tour with Kanye West, claiming it was just bad timing.  The singer told press:

“It just wasn’t the right timing. I don’t want to embellish on it too much, because I want to respect Kanye’s privacy. But we just had our own reasons. We’re real friends, real friends can make decisions like that, and we wanted to keep the momentum going in terms of pop music staying innovative with hip-hop and R&B, and we really wanted to do it, and it just wasn’t the right time. But who’s to say what will happen in the future?”

I think that was actually a really honest and respectable comment from Miss Gaga; I’m impressed.  Don’t forget though, even though her tour with Kanye was canceled, Lady Gaga’s still going on tour solo-style this fall with an all new set design. “I’m certainly inspired by what we were doing, but I made a decision based on integrity not to use any of the things that we had designed together. I wanted to really put together a show that would be the most beautiful, expensive-looking, delicious show, but that my fans wouldn’t have to pay a ton of money to come see.”

As weird as she can be, you can tell that Lady Gaga cares about her fans and that her life revolves around performing.  We can’t wait to see what the new tour has to offer!!

Beyonce speaks about Kanye West outburst during VMAs

Pop diva Beyonce finally speaks out about the incident with Kanye West and Taylor Swift during the MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs) this year. The Survivor singer said:

“Well, I knew his intentions, and I knew he was standing up for art; and he told me before, when they said the nominees, he’s like, ‘You have this award. And when they didn’t call my name he was, like, completely shocked. And when he walked on the stage, I was like, ‘No, no, no!’ and then he spoke, and I was like, ‘Oh, no, no, no!’ But in the end, it ended up being a great night, and Taylor Swift did get her moment — and I didn’t have to make an acceptance speech.”

Way to go Beyonce!  Smart lady for waiting until the incident cooled down before speaking up.  She has kept things very professional…we couldn’t love her more!!

Lady Gaga announces solo tour

Just one day after the announcement of her ‘Fame Kills’ concert tour split with co-headliner Kanye West, Lady Gaga announces her solo tour that will start in November.

Regarding the cancellation of her tour with rapper Kanye, she said, “We mutually decided to cancel the tour. He’s going to take some time off, but I’m not.”

Gaga’s latest single ‘Bad Romance’ was leaked online and she can’t wait for her fans to hear the real thing.

She took to Twitter:

“Still leaving on solo TOUR this nov. Announcing next week. leaked next single is makin my ears bleed. Wait till you hear the real version ;)”

We love Lady Gaga and are excited about her going on tour SOLO…nix Kanye!!

Lady Gaga and Kanye West ‘Fame Kills’ tour canceled

Singers Kanye West and Lady Gaga’s ‘Fame Kills’ tour has been canceled.

Just weeks before it was supposed to kick off, Life Nation, the promoter of the tour, have officially canceled it.

Ticket sales sucked and Lady Gaga and Kanye’s “people” were non-stop arguing about the show and the performers “creative differences.”

Kanye is taking some time off and Lady Gaga will be going solo on tour instead.

Yep, fame kills.

Rumor – Kanye West going to rehab

Rumors are stirring that rapper Kanye West is considering going to rehab after the scene he made with Taylor Swift at the VMAs.

According to In Touch magazine, family members are strongly urging Kanye to head to treatment for his drinking.  The rapper was also seen on the red carpet arrivals of the VMAs drinking a bottle of Hennessy Cognac.  Lovely.

Let’s hope he can get the help he needs.

Lady Gaga and Kanye West announce ‘Fame Kills’ tour

Talented singing sensations Lady Gaga and Kanye West have officially announced their joint headlining tour!  The two are uniting for a killer performance in 34 cities, starting November 10 in Phoenix and bidding farewell January 24 2010 in Dallas, Texas.

The tour is called “Fame Kills: Starring Kanye West & Lady Gaga” and tickets go on sale to the public Friday, September 25, 2009 at www.livenation.com.
