Jerry Seinfeld to replace Conan on The Tonight Show

Rumors are stirring that comedian Jerry Seinfeld is going to replace Conan O’Brien on The Tonight Show after ratings for the NBC show have dropped by a whopping 52 percent!! A source says:

“NBC just can’t carry on like this. ‘The Tonight Show’ has lost 52 percent of its viewership in just one year. The November ratings will be the show’s lowest in 15 years. They would be idiots to not be having the replacement conversation.”

I think Conan is great…but what do you expect to happen?!  You take away the iconic Jay Leno and then 9 months later give Jay another show, an hour earlier in primetime television, and expect Conan to keep up ratings?  It’s sad.

But…I wouldn’t mind seeing Jerry on The Tonight Show either…I miss the Seinfeld days.  Who do you think should host?

Tom Cruise says no refunds for sex

Tom Cruise has never been asked for a refund for sex or flying!!  That’s right…award-winning actors Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz appeared on The Jay Leno Show for Jay’s second night and was given a series of sexual related questions.

Jay asked Tom if he had ever been to a strip club and the actor replied, “Actually I never have been, ever,” Cruise said. Sorry to disappoint you.”

The crowd was booing and Jay was in denial…Cameron rushed to Tom’s defense saying, “It’s kind of hard to be Tom Cruise and go to a strip club you guys, seriously.”

Yep, that’s true – first thing I would do if I worked at that strip club is take pictures and post to Twitter all about Tom’s rendezvous!

The final question to Tom was: “I know you’re a pilot, what are you better at – flying or sex?”

Hahahaha!  Love it!  Tom replied, “You know what, I don’t know.  I try to excel in all areas and I’ve never been asked for a refund, so I don’t know.”

And excel he does!!  We LOOVVVEEEEE Tom Cruise!!

The Jay Leno Show premiere

The much anticipated premiere of The Jay Leno Show aired tonight on NBC and it was great!!

Jay started with his traditional stand-up, welcomed back Kevin Eubanks as the show’s band, then had ‘The Hangover’ comedian Dan Finnerty appear with a segment on a singing car wash. A star-studded cast followed…

Comedian and long-time friend of Jay, Jerry Seinfeld, was the first guest on the show and talked about his upcoming television reunion for the entire cast of the #1 show of all time, Seinfeld.  Oprah Winfrey made a video cameo as well…making light of her friendship with Jerry and boasting about her summer holiday in the Mediterranean.

An unexpected twist to the show when rapper Kanye West asked to speak before his performance with Jay-Z and Rihanna.  Showing remorse through a humbling lack of words, Kanye apologized yet again to his fans and to Taylor Swift for his behavior during the MTV VMAs last night.

Wrapping up the evening was a fantastic performance of ‘Run This Town’ by Jay-Z, Rihanna, and Kanye West from Jay-Z’s latest album, Blueprint 3.  Jay ended his inaugural night with his famous ‘headlines.’

Way to go Jay!  You never disappoint – we can’t wait for our daily dose every weeknight at 10/9c!!  Woot woot!

Kanye West speaks on Jay Leno Show premiere

After his outburst during Taylor Swift’s acceptance speech during the MTV Video Music Awards last night, Kanye West wanted to share some thoughts on Jay Leno’s show before his scheduled performance with Jay-Z and Rihanna.

He came out on stage with the audience in applause and through a series of statements said that his day has “been extremely difficult…dealing with the fact that I hurt someone or took something away from a talented artist…someone’s emotions that I stepped on…it was rude.”

Jay asked Kanye how his recently deceased mother would feel about his behavior on the VMAs…he couldn’t say much, but it definitely struck a chord…Kanye said he would be taking some time off to properly grieve and heal from the passing of his mother.  He concluded by saying that if there was anything he could do to help out Taylor Swift in the future, he would be happy to do it.

He seemed genuinely remorseful for his immature and disrespectful behavior…what do you think?

Comedic icon Jerry Seinfeld will help Leno kick off the show by joining singers Kanye West, Rihanna and Jay-Z, all who will be performing on Jay’s inaugural night.  Jay’s show will feature more comedy and less celebrity interviews, which is a bit different than his 17 years on “The Tonight Show.”
