New TV show Southland was supposed to make it series debut last month, but was pushed back to October 23 ,2009, and now NBC has just canceled the show before the premiere even airs!!
Six episodes were produced, featuring the OC’s Ben McKenzie. No reason has been given for the cancellation, but producer of the show, John Wells, released the following statement:
“I’m disappointed that NBC no longer has the time periods available to support the kind of critically acclaimed series that was for so many years a hallmark of their success. We remain extremely proud of Southland, and are actively looking for another home for the series.”
Lame!! I was actually looking forward to the show…hopefully another network will pick it up.
