Former Bachelor and Dancing With The Stars contestant Melissa Rycroft married her fiance, Tye Strickland, in Mexico over the weekend.
The couple met three years ago in Dallas and got engaged in June, just four months after Melissa was dumped by Bachelor star Jason Mesnick on national television. When Jason was asked about her relationship with Tye, he said:
“I’m really happy for her. This whole journey took her to a place where things looked like they were down for her. But then she ended up with the person she was meant to be with. That’s what life’s all about. I couldn’t be happier for her.”
As far as Melissa’s concerned, her relationship and marriage to Tye is the perfect fit. “Tye and I picked right back up. He’s my best friend. We want to have it [the wedding] be as fun and relaxing as possible for our families. I just want it to be fun and a day everyone will remember. Tye is my true love.”
