President Obama calls Kanye West a ‘jackass’

Let’s start by saying that President Obama’s statement was “off the record,” but what does that really mean for a President in the day and age of Twitter?  While being set up for an interview on CNBC, the President commented on rapper Kanye West’s rude interruption of Taylor Swift’s acceptance speech, calling the Kanye a “jackass.”

ABC News reporter Terry Moran immediately took to Twitter, sharing President Obama’s comment, but removed the tweet within the hour.  The tweet said:

“Pres. Obama just called Kanye West a “jackass” for his outburst at VMAs when Taylor Swift won. Now THAT’S presidential.”

Politico reported that ABC later apologized to the White House and CNBC, for not honoring the “off the record” unwritten rule.

One more reason for us to love President Obama!!  The man knows what’s really going on in America and even has a realistic opinion about it!
