Lady O’s show, ‘The Oprah Winfrey Show’ contract is up in 2011 and rumors are stirring that the show might move over to a new cable network, the Oprah Winfrey Network (OWN). OWN is a joint cable network being worked on between the Discovery Communications and Oprah herself.
Do you really think that’s the right move?!
Apparently the chief of Discovery Communications, David Zaslav, is demanding that Lady O move to the new network or lose the networkd deal altogether!
A press release is supposedly being issued next week to announce the launch of OWN for 2011, then Oprah will be announcing the move of her show from Chicago to Los Angeles, the headquarters for the OWN network.
Hmm…definitely interesting. What do you think? Should she make the move??
