The untimely death of DJ AM (aka Adam Goldstein) has caused an out pour of love from his fans. In a statement released by DJ AM’s family on his MySpace page, they requested that rather than spending their money on flowers to show their support, that they donate the money to one of the charities he cared for:
“We appreciate the kind words and support for Adam over the past few days. Due to your inquiries, in lieu of flowers, AM’s family would like to suggest making donations to the following charitable organizations: National MS Society, Southern California Chapter … or Friendly House.”
We think this charitable approach has much longer lasting benefits that DJ AM would have wanted. RIP Adam.
