Bluegrass legend Jack Cooke died at the age of 72 last Tuesday after collapsing in his home in Virginia. Jack was a bass player and singer with Ralph Stanley’s Clinch Mountain Boys since he joined the group back in 1970.

It sounds like the affair rumors are true!! Tiger Woods just released the following statement:
“I have let my family down and I regret those transgressions with all of my heart. I have not been true to my values and the behavior my family deserves. I am not without faults and I am far short of perfect. I am dealing with my behavior and personal failings behind closed doors with my family. Those feelings should be shared by us alone.
Although I am a well-known person and have made my career as a professional athlete, I have been dismayed to realize the full extent of what tabloid scrutiny really means. For the last week, my family and I have been hounded to expose intimate details of our personal lives. The stories in particular that physical violence played any role in the car accident were utterly false and malicious. Elin has always done more to support our family and shown more grace than anyone could possibly expect.
But no matter how intense curiosity about public figures can be, there is an important and deep principle at stake which is the right to some simple, human measure of privacy. I realize there are some who don’t share my view on that. But for me, the virtue of privacy is one that must be protected in matters that are intimate and within one’s own family. Personal sins should not require press releases and problems within a family shouldn’t have to mean public confessions.
Whatever regrets I have about letting my family down have been shared with and felt by us alone. I have given this a lot of reflection and thought and I believe that there is a point at which I must stick to that principle even though it’s difficult.
I will strive to be a better person and the husband and father that my family deserves. For all of those who have supported me over the years, I offer my profound apology.”
Golfing legend Tiger Woods was injured in a car accident early Friday morning when he reportedly lost control of his 2009 Cadillac Escalade just outside his Isleworth Florida mansion, hitting an airbag and going unconscious for six minutes. His wife Elin was in the house when the accident occurred, came running outside and used a golf club to bust out the back windows and help Tiger out of the car.
“She was frantic, upset. It was her husband lying on the ground. She supposedly got him out and laid him on the ground. He was in and out of consciousness when my guys got there,” Windermere police chief Daniel Saylor said.
Tiger has lacerations to his face and lips and blood in his mouth. He was taken to the hospital, treated, and released in good condition.
The Florida Highway Patrol said alcohol was not involved, but the case will remain under investigation and charges might still be filed.
‘Golden Girls’ star Rue McClanahan had emergency surgery after she was admitted to the hospital on Wednesday for bypass surgery. The heart problem was found during a routine physical.
Entertainment Weekly spoke with Rue’s doctors and they are saying the surgery went really well.

Legendary British singer Elton John was hospitalized on Friday after being forced to cancel a bunch of concerts from a diagnosis of an E. coli bacterial infection and influenza.
The 62-year-old performer has been sick for a few weeks, but his condition worsened which was why he was hospitalized for more testing.
After his partner, David Furnish, spent Halloween at Elton’s side he left the hospital and said, “He’s ok, he’s fine.”
But apparently “fine” isn’t enough to continue his concert series with Billy Joel. A spokesperson for Elton said: “The Elton John/Billy Joel Face 2 Face concerts originally scheduled for Wednesday, November 4, Saturday, November 7, and Tuesday, November 10, have been postponed. Organizers are working to establish new dates.”

Sad, breaking news out of Maine over the weekend; Shiloh Pepin passed away at just 10-years-old. The little girl was born with a rare condition called ‘Sirenomelia’ or commonly referred to as ‘Mermaid Syndrome.’
Both of her legs were fused together, she had no colon or genital organs, and only one partially working kidney. Normally children with this condition have their legs surgically separated, but this procedure was not possible for Shiloh, as blood vessels in her circulatory system would have been cut, making the surgery impossible.
Shiloh was hospitalized in critical condition last week at the Maine Medical Center, according to Associated Press.
Last month Shiloh appeared on Oprah to talk about her condition. For those of you who have seen the show or other documentaries on this amazing little girl, you know that she lived life to the fullest, had such a positive attitude, and didn’t take shit from anybody.

The ongoing John Travolta extortion case in the Bahamas has finally come to a stop. The judge declared a mistrial in the case because of a possible shady juror.
The case originated when two people were trying to extort actor John Travolta for $25 million in exchange for their silence regarding details of their son Jett’s death in the Bahamas in January 2009.
A member of the Bahamian Parliament, Picewill Forbes, announced that one of the defendants in the case, Pleasant Bridgewater, was acquitted of all charges. But!! This statement came out before an official verdict was announced by the jury.
Based on the information above, one of the jurors is suspected of running off and blabbing the verdict to Picewill Forbes, therefore resulting in a mistrial!
The judge has ordered a retrial.
What a mess…I feel so bad for the Travolta family; they shouldn’t have to be dealing with all this shit. Instead, they should be able to grieve for the tragic loss of their son.
One of my favorite celebs, and my fav housewife, Bethenny Frankel, is engaged and pregnant!!
In an interview with People, the real housewife of New York City officially confirmed the baby rumors, saying she is roughly two months pregnant.
Bethenny didn’t want to announce her pregnancy just yet, despite the stirring rumors. She says, “It’s premature to be telling people this. It’s not like, ‘Did I get Botox?’ It’s not the way I wanted it to get out. I haven’t even gone through my first trimester. We haven’t even heard the heartbeat. My [fiance's] parents didn’t even know.”
The 38-year-old star and her fiancé Hoppy are “both so excited.”
When asked about her relationship with Hoppy, Bethenny dished, “We were both complete players. We never thought we would find the right person. Because of my age, it’s not like I was going to meet a boy, and then be engaged for a year and then be married for a year before we started trying [to have kids] … I’d be 45. [Our relationship] is like the Triple Crown. I got engaged, we got pregnant and we’re gonna get married. It’s a miracle.”
The couple met a year ago at Tenjune nightclub.
And she’s already starting to get food cravings saying, “I’m hungry in a way that is not negotiable. I’m not eating tremendous amount but if I am hungry, I will stab someone for food.”
Bethenny even ate an entire jar of pickles (gross!) before she took the pregnancy test!! “That’s so cliché…I just want salt. Salt on everything.”
Gross Bethenny!! Pickles…? EW! Well regardless of that, we are sooooo happy for you and Hoppy!! We hope all goes well with your pregnancy and we get to see the bundle of joy when he/she arrives!! Now go drink some water after all that salt!!

Reality TV dad Jon Gosselin is being sued by TLC for breach of contract!! This comes just days after Jon halted TLC’s production of their show ‘Jon & Kate Plus 8.’
So is TLC firing back at Jon??
The father of eight signed a new deal with TLC in 2008 for the reality show, where Jon promised he wouldn’t do anything that offended the “social conventions or public morals or decency” or anything that would bring TLC into “public disrepute, contempt, scandal or ridicule.”
Well…apparently being intoxicated in public, charting off a 20-year-old girl to Europe, and selling his services to other media outlets are considered breach of contact.
After the lawsuit was filed today in Maryland, the following statement was released by TLC:
“The network has been trying privately and patiently for months to get Jon to honor the contract he signed and to comply with his obligations relating to public appearances and statements. Those efforts have been unsuccessful.”
Ok, you can laugh now…we are!!
Singer Al Martino has died at the age of 82 yesterday in his Philadelphia childhood home.
Al is most famous for his number one single in the UK ‘Here In My Heart’ from November 1952. He is also known for his role as Johnny Fontane in the 1972 film ‘The Godfather.’
He leaves behind his wife Judi and daughter Alison. Our thoughts and prayers are with their family during this difficult time.
