Jet Blue flight attendant Steven Slater had enough on Monday when a passenger aboard the plane hit him in the head with an overhead compartment door while trying to get his laptop down before the plane had come to a complete stop. Steven politely asked the man to take his seat, but the passenger rudely responded with, “f&*k you!” and smacked Steven on the side of his head with the door!
Slater lost it, calling the passenger a few well deserved names before quitting his job over the intercom, grabbed two beers from the fridge, deployed the airplane’s emergency slide and abandoned the ship! Good for you Steven – standing up for flight attendant abuse from ass holes like that! Too bad the charges cost him two counts of reckless endangerment, two counts of criminal mischief and one count of criminal trespass.
Bail is set at $2500 and he’s set to go to court on September 7, 2010.
