Michael Jackson’s autopsy report ruled a homicide

The Los Angeles County coroner’s office has officially released King of Pop Michael Jackson’s autopsy report, ruling his death a homicide.  The singer died of an overdose involving multiple drugs.

The coroner’s office said the cause of death was established as “acute propofol intoxication” aggravated by “acute benzodiazepine effect.”

Propofol and Ativan were identified as the primary drugs responsible for his death.  Other drugs found in Michael Jacksons’ system were midazolam, diazepam, lidocaine, and ephedrine.  Propofol is an anesthetic used in operating rooms and Ativan is a tranquilizer.

Michael’s personal physician, Dr. Conrad Murray, had search warrants issued for his Las Vegas and Houston office, but has not been formally charged.
